Airport police officer in custody for breaking into bar, stealing beers
A Kamuzu International Airport police officer is back in police custody for allegedly breaking into the airport bar and stealing nine bottles of spirit beer.
Chrispine Moyo, a police constable at the airport, had been on the job barely weeks following his suspension from duty on breaking and theft crimes.
Sources at the airport said Moyo broke into the bar run by Malawi Catering Services and stole nine bottles of Sirminof alcohol.
However one bottle cut him as he struggled to get the bottles out leading to his bleeding profusely.
Airport police spokesperson Sapulani Chitonde refused to comment on the matter.
