The new partnership on the Airtel Money menu is that of  Malawi Union of Savings and Credit Cooperatives (Muscco)—the umbrella body for the savings and credit cooperatives (Saccos).

Announcing this development during a news conference in Lilongwe on Friday, Airtel Money Country Director Francis Matseketsa said the partnership with MUSCCO is strategic in ensuring that Airtel Money products and services are anchored far and wide.

“Airtel Money is proud to be casting the net wider in providing the much needed instant financial solutions. It is in our quest to reach out and touch many lives that we keep banking our prowess on partnerships.

“Our partnership with MUSCCO is a milestone because people will cherish so much instant convenience,” Matseketsa explained.

MUSCCO members will have to get registered on Airtel Money to no longer face queues in accessing MUSCCO loans or loan repayments.

“In addition to this direct access to MUSSCO,  their money will be safe and secure as it will be in their Airtel Money wallet, sealed with a password,” he highlighted.

Airtel Money has maximised it’s  leverage in striking partnerships with a great deal of institutions like Standard Bank, FDH Bank, NBS Bank, Chipiku, Go TV, Zuku TV, MASM, Malawi Airlines and Water Boards across the country.
