All set for Bullets ‘red carpet’ Nyasa awards gala

Malawi champions Nyasa Big Bullets says preparations for its first ever gala awards scheduled for Friday March 29 are at an advanced stage.

The event is aimed at rewarding last season’s outstanding players and is scheduled to take place at the Comesa Hall in the Commercial City of Blantyre.

Nyasa big Bullets Senior Development Manager Kelvin Moyo told Nyasa Times on Wednesday that: “The preparations are at an advanced stage and ticket sells are going on well”.

According to Moyo, the fans are also voting in large numbers.

He therefore encouraged them to continue voting to increases chances of winning for their respective favourite players.

He further revealed that strikers Chiukepo Msowoya and Bright Munthali, midfielders Mike Mkwate, Nelson Kangunje and veteran Fischer Kondowe, defenders John Lanjesi and Bashir Maunde are among those competing highly and receiving more votes in their respective categories.

The awards will include Player of the Season, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Top Goal Scorer, Most Improved Player and Most Disciplined Player.

They will all be rewarded with K500,000 each.

Registered members only are eligible to vote dialling *477# on TNM and Airtel lines then they will be required to select members only, enter membership number and then select voting from where they will choose a category.

“There is a list of competing players appearing under each category, which has been selected randomly, but from next year it will be done through a panel of technical experts, ” Moyo said

The dress code for the event is strictly smart and is to be beamed live on Mibawa Television who are in partnership with Bullets.

The charges are K500 000 for platinum corporate table, K300 000 for gold corporate table and K200 000 for silver corporate table.

Mapale and Maule members will pay K10 000 and K5 000 each, respectively.

Closing to buy tickets to be part of the glamorous event is on Thursday 28th March 2019 according to Moyo.

“There will be no selling of tickets on the event day Friday,” said Moyo.
