Speaking at the function, the Interim Chairperson of the Association, Timothy Sukali, explained to the gathering that included all the current students, teachers and other former students that Malamulo Ndiko Kwathu name that was given to the group for a sense of belonging and attachment to the former school, was formed in July 2015 with the main purpose of helping the school get back to its former glory, academically, socially and spiritually.

Sukali further explained that the association will soon be donating books for all subjects which they are continuing to source from well wishers and will help in the purchase and repair of Lab equipment as well as beds in the hostels and desks in the classrooms.

Other notable speakers at the function were Bright Malopa, former presidential adviser on Strategy and Communication and Lillian Kawaza, an accomplished business lady and marketing professional with NBS Bank who encouraged the students to remain focused and aim for the Stars.

The group also enjoyed eating lunch of boiled eggs, beans and rice with the current students.
