Antchito App Launches in Malawi to Protect Employers and Simplify Workforce Management
A new digital innovation has hit the Malawian market — Antchito, a mobile application developed by local tech firm Virtual Tech, has officially launched to help employers manage domestic workers, shop attendants, and casual laborers with ease, transparency, and confidence.

The app also caters to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that lack formal systems for managing employees, offering them an affordable and user-friendly solution.
For years, many Malawian employers have struggled with disputes over payments, leave days, and end-of-service benefits due to poor or missing records. Antchito aims to end that uncertainty by providing a secure digital platform where every detail of employment is recorded, verified, and accessible at the tap of a button.
“Many employers rely on trust and manual records, which create risks,” said Blena Chisenga, Managing Consultant at Virtual Tech. “Antchito acts as your digital witness. It keeps clear, undeniable proof of payments, leave taken, and documents signed — protecting employers from misunderstandings or false claims.”
Among the app’s standout features is a robust payment tracking system, which logs all salary and wage transactions — whether made via mobile money, bank transfer, or cash — complete with proof of payment. This creates a permanent audit trail, enhancing transparency and accountability.
Antchito also simplifies one of the most confusing areas for employers — end-of-service benefits. The app automatically calculates and accrues gratuity or pension contributions each month, ensuring full legal compliance and eliminating guesswork. Employers can even process gratuity payouts securely through the platform.
Beyond financial management, Antchito provides an integrated system for tracking leave requests and balances, and a digital vault where users can safely store important documents such as employment contracts, IDs, and payslips — all accessible anytime, anywhere.
The platform’s reporting dashboard gives employers quick summaries of their workforce data, helping them make informed decisions. Additionally, the app includes a “Refer and Earn” program, which allows users to earn commissions by inviting other employers to subscribe.
“Antchito was built to bring order, transparency, and peace of mind to employers,” Chisenga added. “It’s about protecting both sides and creating trust through technology.”
Antchito is now available for download on the Google Play Store, and an iOS version is set to launch early next month.
