Apostle Kawinga builds K7.2m house for bedridden stroke patient in Dedza

A friend in need is a friend indeed, so the saying goes! Apostle Clifford Kawinga of the Salvation for All Ministries has built a decent house for Steven Mkokoko – a man that has been bedridden for 24 years – thus proving to be a friend of the needy.

Mkokoko, 51, comes from Thunduzi Village in Traditional Authority Chauma in Dedza.

He has been bedridden for the past 24 years due to stroke. Kawinga first visited Mkokoko in May 2021 after hearing about his story on Zodiak Television.

When he visited him, Kawinga, who is also who is the  Managing Director of  Creck group of companies including CRECK Hardware, CK ceramics, CK properties, CK, Cold storage and CK farms, donated assorted items worth K600, 000.

The donated items included a movable bed, blankets, laundry soap, a solar panel, radio receiver and other food items.

Speaking at the handover of the house on Tuesday, T/A Chauma said that he was very happy with the gesture, stressing that the house will be in historical book of the area as it is beautiful house.

“I am overwhelmed with what has happened. This is what we call Christianity. When we were told in 2019 that he wants to help Mkokoko with a house, as a community, we started organising bricks to support the project. We are happy that everything has gone well and we bless the man of God,” said Chauma.
