More aspirants for Netball Association of Malawi polls

With the count down to the Netball Association of Malawi  (NAM) elections slated for Saturday 3rd June at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi ticking, more aspirants are emerging from different camps ready to contest in various positions.

During the week, only the outgoing General Secretary of the current NAM committee Carol Bapu disclosed her intentions of seeking re-election during Saturday polls with other members still doing  secret campaign.

However, Nyasa Times has discovered that several aspirants have emerged with former NAM G.S Hellen Mpinganjira set to battle for the highest position with the outgoing NAM Vice President Chimwemwe Kachingwe.

Southern Region Netball Committee Chairperson Khungekile Matiya will contest for the position of Vice  President along with former player Judith Chalusa. Linda Magombo and Faggie Mwalweni will challenge Bapu for G.S position.

Brian Gausi is the only candidate so far vying for Vice G.S position while Jane Kachali also appear to be the only aspirant for position of Treasurer. Charity Mhango and Aggie Chaima will contest for Vice Treasure post.

Regional Chairpersons are automatic committee members according to NAM constitution.
