Organizers of the upcoming music festival dubbed ‘Nkopola Summer Splash’, Smooth Touch Promotions, say all is set for the event and people should expect fireworks.
All roads will this weekend lead to the lakeshore district of Mangochi where Tanzania’s Lina Sanga is expected to headline the fest. She is famous with her track Ole Themba.
The ‘Nkopola Summer Splash’ is scheduled to take place from 17th to 18th September at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge.
According to Smooth Touch Promotions director Godfrey Kachimanga, the event is aimed at taking part in promotion of Malawian culture and tourism.
“We want to use this platform to sell Malawi’s tourism to its fullest,” said Kachimanga.
Kachimanga said it is most likely that the event will attract the attention of several foreigners since it is also being publicized in foreign lands particularly Tanzania and Zambia.
Also to perform at the Summer Splash from Zambia is B1 of the Sikiriti Kubedi hit song.
Locally, Chileka based reggae group, Black Missionaries, will lead the line up alongside other artists like Piksy of the Angozo fame, Blakjak, Bucci, AyCee James and Blaze.
Tickets for the show will be sold at K8,000 at the day of the event while advanced tickets are going at K6,500 and can be purchased through Airtel Money.
