Balaka young man dedicates time, resources to social work

Balaka-based 27-year old Fanizo Magodi has said he is committed to changing lives of his fellow youths, and communities using little resources available.

Magodi helping a youngman plant a tree

Among others, Magodi, who is a graduate of Mzuzu University, manages a football team for the youth, and recently embarked on a tree planting campaign.

“I named the tree planting project ‘one youth, one tree’ and it was quite successful. We’ve so far planted about a thousand trees,” said Magodi.

Some of the varieties of trees planted include Moringa, Jatropha and Mahogany.

“Regardless of my low income, I started Mthumba FC which is helping boys in the district remain physically healthy but also shield them from bad behaviours,” he said.
