Battle to Golden Boot Award gets hotter in Malawi TNM Super League
The battle for Golden Boot Award gets hotter in Malawi’s flagship TNM Super League after Silver Strikers ace striker Green Harawa is tied with Red Lions’ Innocent Bokosi.
Bokosi has been leading the top goal scorer chart for a good part of the season but he has to fend off stiff competition from Harawa who has also reached 12 goals so far.
Harawa took his tally to 12 after scoring in the Lilongwe derby to inspire his team to victory
But Bokosi failed to hit the target as his team Red Lions lost 1-2 to fellow soldiers Moyale at Balaka Stadium.
Piling pressure on Harawa and Bokosi is Civo’s hitman Nelson Kangunje who has 11 goals while Bullets savior Chiukepo Msowoya is fourth with 10 goals.
Chiukepo’s twin striker at Bullets Jaffalie Chande is tied on eight goals with Blue Eagles’ wonderboy Schumacher Kuwali.

The golden boot competition is not very exiciting because goal keepers are left out. Why not give credit to the one concided afew goals to also improve in goal keeping.
