BB congratulates Nomads but warns of `different story´ next term: Malawi TNM Super League

Nyasa Big Bullets has congratulated their age-old rivals Be Forward Wanderers for winning the 2017 TNM Super League title, but warned them that they will find things more difficult with CAF Champions League football to juggle in the next title campaign which the People’s Team said they will fight to win.

Bullets general secretary (GS) Albert Chigoga : “Jelasi siumuna. We congratulate them.

Yasin Osman’s side secured the title on Saturday when they thumped Masters Security FC 4-1 at Balaka Stadium to end an 11-year wait for the top-flight league honours.

Bullets general secretary (GS) Albert Chigoga  has congratulated the Blues on their success – while also pointing out it in a statement sent to Lali Lubani Road that the consistency displayed by Wanderers this season has been sublime “under the resilient leadership of chairperson Gift Mkandawire and GS Mike Butao”.

Chigoga said the Nomads “ deserved it” as Malawi champions because they put up “a grand fight.”
“For us to trail Mighty Wanderers all the way brought euphoria and genuine hype in the league,” reads part of the statement.

Chigoga said Bullets   wish Wanderers “all the best as they prepare for the CAF Champions League and we urge them to prepare well.”

Wanderers won the title with a game to spare against Red Lions on December 24 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe where they will be officially crowned champions while Bullets will wind up against Masters Security on the same afternoon.
