Be Forward shortlists Bullets, Epac and Nomads for sponsorship

Japanese company dealing in reconditioned vehicles Be Forward has lived up to its word to sponsor a Super League team in the country after  the company earmarked three teams to fight for the sponsorship.

Be Forward Sales Executive Tione Vitsitsi said the country’s big clubs Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers and Epac have been put under consideration.

“We would like to monitor these three clubs as we had earlier indicated,” Vitsisti said.

He said one of the teams would secure the sponsorship should it meet the conditions.

Be Forward disclosed its commitment towards football sponsorship in Malawi after sponsoring a four-team tournament involving two Blantyre based clubs Bullets and Wanderers and their Lilongwe counterparts Silver Strikers and Epac last week.

But the company cautioned that any team bidding to secure the sponsorship should be exercise high degree of discipline  apart from good results.

“We are a big company and we always want to be associated with a winning team. So teams should produce good results,” he said.

Bullets and Wanderers did not take time to respond by approaching the company’s management.

Wanderers General Secretary Mike Butao said they had already submitted a proposal for the sponsorship while Bullets chairman Kondie Msungama said they approached the team.
