Be still, and know that I am God

Many times people have prayed to God to intervene in situations but have at the same time put full dependence on things they do. God requires that all attempts of self help must come to an end; all activities of the flesh must cease; the workings of nature must be subdued; our faith must rest completely in Christ and the finished work on the Cross, and nothing else. We just need to surrender and let God move in our situations because God does not require our help in any way.jesus bible

Exodus 14:13 talks about a time when the children of Israel were afraid of the Egyptians that were following them that Moses told them to fear not but stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Moses knew that if the Children of Israel could stand still, God would then be allowed to take over and fight for them. The Lord could fight for Israel only as long as they stood still. If they had turned at this point in time, and start fighting with the Egyptians on their own in any capacity, this would have definitely hindered the Lord fighting for them, and there is no doubt that they would have been defeated.

If you consider all this, you will notice that we have many times tried to do what is meant to be done by God on our own instead of just being still. 2 Chronicles 20:17 tells us that “You shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand you still, and see the salvation of the Lord with You”. This means that your efforts of the flesh have to completely come to an end and just look at God alone. If we try to fight battles on our own we will lose miserably and start asking whether God really hears when we pray.

There are certain things that have been used as means of receiving needs from God which have been misunderstood but does not help. For example as much us fasting is scriptural, if not done in a proper way,

You will just be starving yourself to death. Fasting actually is a good example of standing still if done in a proper way because as your body becomes weak, your spirit becomes strong therefore allowing God to take over. But if just fasting because everyone else in church is fasting, then it is better not to even do it.

The prayers that are done properly not trusting in our self are the ones that will yield good results. It may be sickness, deliverance, poverty, hindrances or any type of bondage that has troubled you for a long time, God is saying today to stand still and just let Him take over, because He does not need your help.

indeed we will always shine amongst stones if we put God first in any of our plans and that its time to let God to be God for the word says”THOUSANDS SHALL FALL AT THY SIDE AND TEN THOUSAND AT RIGHT HAND SIDE BUT IT SHALL NOT COME NEAR YOU FOR YOU HAVE MADE THE MOST HIGH YOUR SHIELD” Indeed God be my protector amd come first in my life and everything i come across for me to be more than those still fighting. Your ways are always faithful ooh Lord. Fight for me when am still ooh God.
