Big Brother Africa no show again this year
Acclaimed Africa’s leading reality television show, Big Brother Africa, has been cancelled again for the second year running, organisers M-Net, have said.
On Big Brother Africa which was last held in 2014, organisers said they were still deliberating on the future of thats how.
In a statement M-Net said: “At the moment, the team are busy re-evaluating the strategic direction of Big Brother Africa.”
The statement further states: “We wish to thank Big Brother Africa fans far and wide for their continuous support over the past editions and promise that the show will go on, on DStv, with new and exciting productions in store from M-Net.”
Last year, BBA was not held as Endemol and M-Net failed to secure sponsorship for the show.
But it seems all hope is not lost as the organisers promised that when it eventually returns, the highly-demanded show would be bigger and better.
Malawi was represented at the last Big Brother Africa reality show – Hotshot – by Sipherile Chitambo alias Sipe and Mr 265.
Malawi reached the final stages of the Big Brother Africa reality show four times. However, it is only Hazel Warren who ended up as runner up.
The first show in 2003 saw Malawi perform dismally as its representative Zein Dudha, got the boot just three weeks into the game.
Other Malawian contestant who have gone to the show include Code Sangala, Felicia Ngoma, DJ Lomwe, Fatima Nkata, Natasha Ntonthela.

Who cares! Only embeciles
No Problem with Big Brother not showing. But multi-Choice should bring back ‘Investigation Discovery’ channel
Big Bother!
NYC @ Times but VERY COSTLY TO THE SUBSCRIBERS. Big Brother should have been made Commercial via a Smart Advertising Attachment.
DStv should be shut down. It damages everything it touches including The English Premier League.
No-show is Good-show and Good riddance of this immorality-provoking-and-teaching Tv show! Blessed are you if you do not bring it up again! The moral fabric of our societies are currently already so rotten! Let’s not continue provoking God’s anger, and choose something morally-restorative for our sick and dying African society!!!!
