In an unprecxedented development, Mwayiwathu Hospital on Thursday was cordoned off to protect the privacy of a ‘very big and important person’ who seems to have been taken there for an emergency .
The Hospital declined to comment to Nyasa Times’ clarification.
There were heavy police presence at the hospital.
Eye witnessess told Nyasa Timesthey saw a convoy of a presidential motorcade coming from Sanjika Palace to the hospital and that security detail were acting in panick mode.
It was feared President Bingu wa Mutharika was taken to hospital after a health emergency.
But government spokeswoman Patricia Kaliati said Mutharika was in a stable condition and that he had gone to the hospital as a visitor not as a patient.
Recently there have been speculations in the media of Mutharika’s poor health with reports last year that he had gone to a hospital after he extended his visit to Australia to attend Commonwelath Heads of State Meeting. On his return he said he had gone for a holiday and not to a hospital.
The renowned Nigerian Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly known as TB Joshua, prophesied during a February 5 Sunday service that an old Africa dictator would die soon.
TB Joshua has in the past foretold many world shaking events which include the death of Michael Jackson, the resignation of Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf, and also the rise of the current president of Ghana a few weeks before they happened.
“I’m seeing a head of state, by that I mean a president. He is not feeling well. He is very old. What is this I’m seeing…sudden death. I’m seeing the death of an old African president in two months,” TB Joshua is said to have prophesied during a Sunday service in Lagos.
TB Joshua did not disclose the name of this old African president.
