Parliamentarian Billy Kaunda has applauded TNM Super League debutants Kabwafu F.C for their impressive start in their debut season and has donated 20 pairs of boots and three footballs.
“I have bought twenty pairs of boots and three balls to be used during training as a boost to the team” said the Mzimba West Legislature.
Kaunda expressed satisfaction with the team and expressed hope that the team will survive in the league.
“I am happy with the way the team is performing and I can assure you that the team will do better and survive in the league. I am the team’s number one supporter and I will always stand by them,” Kaunda said.
He therefore called upon all well-wishers to support the club financially or any other way to ensure it remains in the league.
Kabwafu has been enjoying good form since the new season. They have won two games and lost one.
The team beat their Mzuzu city rivals Moyale Barracks and Epac F.C by 2-1 and 2-0 respectively before losing to Mafco F.C 1-0.
The team currently seats on position four of the log table with defending champions Silver Strikers at the summit of the table having recorded three straight wins from their three games.
