Dancehall artist Blakjak Tuesday night released a new song titled Ndapita, which he dedicates to the late Xtassy, real name Bennie Maruwo, a rapper who died in July 2012.

Xtassy, a close friend to Blakjak, was under the defunct Blantyre-based hip-hop group called Utitili. He died after a short illness.

“He was my long time hommie. We were like brothers. He passed away while I was on a tour up north and I never made it to the funeral. I felt like I failed him so I decided to record a track.

“The whole month of July will be for him. He was a talented rapper; young, educated and gifted,” Blakjak told Nyasa Showbiz Tuesday night.
