“It’s true that we are not playing well at the moment, but we will get back to winning ways and hopefully we want to use this week’s fixtures to revive our title hopes,” he said.

He however said  Blantyre United have shown that they are a strong team this season and realises instinctively that they cannot be underrated.

“This weekend will be very tough; playing Blantyre United a team which has shown that it can compete for the title. Of course they are in a good form but anything can happen. His capital city ally, ‘Sir’ Alex Masanjala said he was optimistic to dent the title credentials of Blantyre United.

“We are very prepared for the game which is going o be very tough, considering that this clash is between the teams which are in contention to win the title, so any slight mistake you can blow away your title hopes. But we are going to play this game at home and definitely will have a home advantage,” Masanjala said

Masanjala went on to label this week’s fixtures as a must win.

“It is a must win game to us as u know during the Christmas period our team was not playing well and we failed to give our fans a Christmas present, but hopefully in these fixture will win so that we can give them a new year present,” said the Civo coach

Blantyre United would need to win both games to boost their chances to win the title come January 28.
