Blantyre United to sue Bullets over players
Blantyre United have threatened legal action on Bullets over Tizgowere Kumwenda and Victor Limbani after the two players loan deal expired.
Lawson Nakoma, Blantyre United administration and Technical Director, said the players loan deal expired at the end of 2014 season.
Nakoma has since alerted the team’s lawyers Churchill Noris & Foster, Law Chambers.
He said Bullets were just allowed to use the two players during the CAF Champions League which they have been booted out by Al Hilal of Sudan.
“We wish to remind you that the loan for the above named players expired at the end of the 2014 league season. We also would like to remind you that we only allowed you to use them up to the end of CAF competitions,” Nakoma said in a letter.
“We are therefore dismayed that instead of thanking us for being considerate; you are busy blocking the players from coming back to us. We are angered by the fact that you have gone to the extent of blocking any communication with the players. This in our view is tantamount to betrayal of trust.”
He said disregard to this directive was a violation of transfer rules and urged the country’s soccer governing body to intervene.
“Further disregard of this directive will mean violation of transfer rules and if the Football Governing Bodies will not do anything to assist us protect our interests; we will not hesitate to seek legal redress through our lawyers copied hereunder,” he said.
“Therefore, to protect our interest in the players, we demand an unconditional release of the said players from your camp and immediate stop of their inclusion in your programmes. Further disregard of this directive will mean violation of transfer rules and if the Football Governing Bodies will not do anything to assist us protect our interests; we will not hesitate to seek legal redress through our lawyers copied hereunder.”
