Blue Eagles hammer Bakala Select 2-0 in friendly encounter
As teams step up preparations for the forthcoming season, Blue Eagles trekked down south to play their sixth testing match against Balaka Select where they won 2-0 courtesy of Schumaker Kuwali and Maxwell Salambula goals.

The game was played at the weekend at Balaka stadium where Malawi Police Service (MPS) also took advantage to ask communities to help police in ensuring security in the country.
The result means that out of six testing matches played so far the Eagles have won five and drew one.
It was not an easy game for the visitors. Although the Nankhaka side played a passing game they struggled to break the resilient Balaka side.
The first half ended goalless. And just seven minutes after recess Kuwali broke the deadlock with a low drive before Salambula added the second at 70 minutes with a beautiful glancing header putting the game beyond reach for the inexperienced Balaka side.
Eagles captain Steve Chagoma conceded that the game was tough. “They gave us a good game and it was a good tune up match for us,” said Chagoma.
“We have thoroughly prepared for the upcoming season and our intention is to lift at least a trophy,” added Chagoma.
