Blue Eagles Sisters in walkover fixtures: Central Health LDNL
The Central Health Lilongwe and District Netball League will reach on a boiling point this weekend with Lioness on a tight rope as they face giants Blue Eagles Sisters while KB Sisters have also a daunting task against Civonets.
The Area 30 cops, who were on cloud nine last week, will face Lioness in the morning before they take on Support in the last game of the day.
Blue Eagles Sisters goal attacker Ruth Kaliyenda said they are aware that the weekend fixtures against Lioness and Support will not be easy but she was quick to point that Eagles have players capable to upset the tables.
For instance, Joyce Mvula, Takondwa Lwazi can rise to the occasion when the chips are down.
In another interesting fixture, Civonets have what looks like an easy game against Boma in the morning before engaging KB Sisters.
Civonets captain Tina Kamzati said they are taking Saturday’s game against Boma and KB seriously in their quest to clinch the League.
Kamzati said after missing the Presidential Cup in Blantyre they will not allow see the League off to their opponent.
She relies on Jane Chimaliro, Towera Vinkhumbo and Rose Mkanda Bridget to steer the team to victory.
The Central Health Lilongwe and District Netball League general secretary Charity Malanga urged Lilongwe residents to converge area 30 in their large numbers to witness the games.
Malanga said games will be played on Saturday from morning at 8:30 am with the last game of the day expected to kick-off around 1:30 pm.
