Malawi Police in Chilomoni, Blantyre are keeping in custody 15 year old Livison Upile on suspicion that he wrote the just ended Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education-PSLCEs without registering with Malawi National Examination Board-MANEB.

According to Beatrice Mikuwa, Public Relations Officer for Southern Region Police, Upile was taking an absentees sit and and was discovered on the last day of the exam.

“We don’t know the reason behind Upile’s deeds but it is against the law. He was using exam number 00125016/229 which belongs to Patrick Foster,” said Mikuwa.

Mikuwa said Upile’s arrest was a warning shot to students sitting for the upcoming examinations and harbor similar thoughts.
