Blantyre United has recalled  their striker Sparrow Msowoya from the Nomads after failing to honour K1 million transfer fee.

Blantyre United technical director Lawson Nakoma confirmed to Nyasa Times on Thursday that the dateline which they agreed with the Nomads to pay the transfer fee money had elapsed.

“We have taken him back and he is training with his friends at Blantyre United,” said Nakoma.

He said they gave Wanderers enough time to raise the money but it looks the club has failed.

Msowoya is the second player to be withdrawn by Blantyre United from the Nomads after Abraham Kamwendo.

Meanwhile, another Nomads midfielder Timothy Chitedze, who was ousted at the club, has insisted he will join Silver Strikers next season.

“I am not returning back to Wanderers because l made my mind already to join the Bankers,” he said.

He said discussions on signing a deal are at an advanced stage between him and the Area 47 outfit.
