BT United to hold a guard of honour for Bullets: Malawi TNM Super League
Relegated Blantyre United will on Saturday hold a guard of honour for champions-designate Big Bullets at the curtain goes down on the 2014 edition of the elite TNM Super at Kamuzu Stadium.
Super League of Malawi (Sulom )treasure Tiya Somba Banda confirmed with Nyasa Times that the Peoples team to be given a guard of honour.
Bullets were crowned 2014 league champions last Saturday after beating another contendor Moyale barracks 1-0.
Bullets want to finish the season on 62 points and that means they are determined to beat United who have nothing to fight for and worse still, their record on the road is not good enough. Bullets should sign off on a high without a home loss.
Blantyre United assistant coach Heston Munthali said they are ready to spoil Bullets celebrations by inflicting them with a defeat.
“Yes they are champions but we want to spoil the party. We are ready to beat,” said Munthali.
However, Big Bullets title winning coach Elijah Kananji laughed off Munthali’s sentiments describing them, ‘wishingful thinking’.
Kananji said they want to maintain their unbeaten record at Kamuzu Stadium.
“We want to finish the league in style by winning the last match. All l want to assure our fans is to come in their large numbers to celebrate with us,” said Kananji.
