The youngest nominee in the best RnB artist category for the Music Malawi awards (MUMA)Bucci, has expressed how he feels his hard work and dedication is paying off after being nominated for the award.
Mabuchi Mwale aka Bucci said he is excited with the nominations.
“I do have the confidence I [get the award], as much as it may look tough, I’m standing on my grounds and i believe in my work.
“i am proud of myself especially that the sleepless days and nights seem to be paying off, being recognised for the nomination is such an achievement [and] it means so much to me and am thankful to God at my age things seem to be showing way,”said Bucci.
The rising star who was last year signed by Nd’efeyo entertainment is well known for his collaborations with Gwamba in ‘ndiyima pachulu’, ‘zokhumba’ with Dictator and ‘mphete’ with Flo-Dee as well as his own works ‘umbombo’ and ‘zitiyendela’.
Bucci further talked about his upcoming project. He is yet to release an album later this year.
The other nominees for this year’s best RnB artist include Sonye, Theo Thomson, Dan Kalima and Rhythm & Beyond.
Nominees for the MUMA awards are chosen based on number of downloads, sales, plays on radio as well as at clubs.
The 2nd annual MUMA awards scheduled for the 27th of February will take place at the Bingu international conference centre in Lilongwe.
