The club through its General Secretary Harold Fote confirmed the resignation of Mkandawire.

Fote said that the letter the player has submitted did not contain the reasons why he has decided to throw in the towel.

“It is true that Mr. Mkandawire submitted his resignation letter but no reasons have been given” said Fote.

He admitted that the departure of Mkandawire who last season inspired the club to top flight Super League Championship and Carlsberg Cup is a huge blow to the team.

“We cannot talk of out teams’ 2014 success without mentioning Sankhani,  he played a big role” he said.

But Fote was optimistic that the player has decided to move on without grudges against the club.

“This is good [resigning without indicating reasons] in other way because this means that he has no grudges against us as a club”.

Mkandawire was linked with a possible move to a South African Premier Soccer Club Black Leopards last year.

Meanwhile, the player is yet to announce his next move on whether he will completely quit football all join another club.

  8. So many ways of arriving at decision but it depends on what types of decision. Sankhani, others will feel happy when you make a bad decision while other will advise. Even the president has a bulk of advisors who helps him on crossroad situation that he should take the right path. I hope you will think twice, I love you.

  9. Gents this kind of behaviour is intolarable, a player can’t leave the team at this terrible moment. In Caf Bullets will stand for Mlw, if Bullets fails we all fail, wake up player. Stop thinking like khululu.

  10. behind sankhani mkandawire resignation letter there is Walter nyamilandu manda …. ameneyu is the one who wants to extinguish the Big Bullets……musova

  11. Bullets officials, this is the prize for being stubborn. You started it all by not respecting other teams’ officials by bypassing them and enticing their players later on you claiming that the players themselves wanted to join Bullets. CAF mumenya mpaka liti? Clever players know that after CAF Bullets may go into oblivion.

Its time more professional players acted in the spirit of Sankhani. Mumashosha ma Banker mwaziwonatu!

Advice to Sankhani. Forward ever. Learn from the mistake of Blackberry who was prevented from joining Silver.

  12. Sankhani this is not the time to quit BB. Who knows may be this was your time to expose your skills. Think twice.

  13. So he had no contract with you to state when his term expires???

If he quited before his term expired, he has to pay damages to the Bullets.

Our clubs need to run like professional teams not like grocery shops. If the leagues around the world were run like this, then CR7, Messi, Rooney, Drogba et ecetera would quit any day.
