Nyasa Big Bullets Ireland based signing Andy Kamlete is set to join the team next week.

Andy Kamlete joining Bullets

Bullets signed the 23-year-old Kamlete, who is former Environ United and Orlando Pirates Youth, two months ago to bolster their blunt attacking machinery.

But the lanky striker took time to join the People’s Team as pending the season to end at his Iris third tier outfit Ballymum FC where he inspired the team to promotion with 28 league goals.

Bullets General Secretary Albert Chigoga confirmed that Kamlete, who went to Ireland for studies, would come on June 23.

“Andy Kamlete is expected to arrive on June 23 and he had already booked his flight back home,” Chigoga said.

He said his arrival would be healthy for the team as it would offer competition among the players for positions.

“This good for us because the competition will be stiff which could translate to better performance,” he said.

Kamlete also confirmed of his arrival on June 23 to join Bullets.

“I was waiting for the league presentation of awards which was held on June 13 and a received championship medal and top goal scorer medal, ” he said.

“I have received top goal scorer and medal of promotion. All had their benefit though not very big but reasonable,” he said.

Bullets started the campaign on poor note by collecting one point from a possible six points in their first two games and were also booted in the quarterfinals of the inaugural Airtel Top 8 by eventual champions Silver Strikers.

Kamlete played for Southern Region Football League side Envirom before moving to Green Hawks and leaving for studies in Ireland in 2014.

While at Envirom, he won Division One golden boot and won the same award in the Premier Division while at Hawks.
