Burundian striker on trials at Bullets
Mzuzu University’s lanky forward Niyikiza Ayimable is a top target for TNM Super League champions Bullets FC intending to sign during this transfer window period.
The Burundian started training during with the People’s team last week alongside Tigers midfielder Yamikani Chester and Dedza Young Stars Chisomo Mpachika.
The team has been unconvincing despite maintaining a clean record in the first round.
Bullets Vice-General Secretary Kelvin Moyo said technical panel recommended the names of the transfer targets to the executive committee.
“We have a number of players whom we have earmarked to join us but it will be premature for me to disclose their names because we haven’t made any formal approaches to their respective ckubs,” Moyo said.
In another development former Bullets striker Diverson Mlozi is set to return to his roots after a two-year stint in Botswana.
Mlozi started training with the team after the season break and is expected to be registered as Bullets are on the verge of losing top goal scorer Chiukepo Msowoya to a Bidvest Wits of South Africa’s top league.
“He is back and we hoping to take advantage of the transfer window to sign him so that we should bolster the attacking machinery,” he said.
