CAN set to host Christmas bash in Lilongwe

Chanel for All Nations (CAN) with support from Choice Construction says it is set to host a Christmas bash slated for December 26, 2022 at Sheaffer International Christian Assembly (ICA) Marquee in Lilongwe from 11 o’clock AM up to 6 o’clock PM. 

In an interview on Monday, Chairperson of the organising committee for the event, Everet Nkungula confirmed the readiness of the upcoming event.

Nkungula- everything is set for the event.

“We are currently doing final touch ups but everything is set for the event, all the bookings have been made and all the performing artists have confirmed their availability at the function,” Nkungula said.

She added that, the Christmas bash which is organised every end of the year, aims at appreciating CAN Radio and TV followers among other things.

“We normally organise Christmas bashes every year and the move is to appreciate our followers, interact with them and get to know each other,” he said.

According to her, artists who are on the line up to perform at the vent include; Ethel Kamwendo Banda, The Marvellous Deeds, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers and Evance Meleka just to mention some.

She also said that, apart from music performances there will also be entertainment activities for kids such as jumping castle and trampoline games.

She therefore urged gospel music fans from Lilongwe and surrounding areas to patronise the Christmas bash in their large numbers.

“Let me take this opportunity invite gospel music lovers from Lilongwe and nearby areas to come in their large numbers and patronise the event, this will be an opportunity for them to relax and celebrate the birth of our saviour Christ Jesus,” she explained. 

However she said that adult participants will be asked to pay K2, 500 at the door while children will part ways with K2000 for them to patronise the event.

She also advised choirs and gospel solo artists in the country who are interested to perform at the Christmas bash to contact the organising committee of the event on +265 991 660 136 in order for them to be included on the list of performers.

In a separate interview, Abel Sanena a member of the music group known as The Marvellous Deeds which is ready to perform at the Christmas bash said that

“This year people should expect a very good performance from us, as we all know there was a break of shows now we have been practicing all this while and people should expect fireworks indeed.

“In addition fans should also expect to dance to our new music like ‘DZuka’ and ‘Mundinyamule’ which will be performed for the very first time at this show before its premier on January 10, 2023 on Zodiak TV,” Sanena said.
