In an interview with Nyasa Times, FAM Commercial and Marketing Director Limbani Cliff Matola said as one way of giving football lovers fun and making the finals historical they have organised a number of activities which will be displayed before and during half time of the match.

“We just urge all football followers to make sure they don’t miss this match because apart from football they will have time to enjoy by watching MDF soldiers  displays such as parachute jumping, acrobatics just to mention a few. Let me also assure families that they should not fear to come with their couples because we’ve collaborated with the police to ensure that there is tight security before, during and after the match.

“Our target together with the sponsors (Carlsberg Malawi Limited) is to have a violence and injury free finals,” said Matola.

The finals will be interesting for coach Elia Kananji fter guiding Nyasa Big Bullets to Carlsberg Cup victory in 2014, Kananji went on win it for Be Forward Wanderers in 2015.

He then defended the cup with Wanderers in 2016 to make it a record three times.

This year, Kananji is now back at Big Bullets and expects to guide the People’s Team to the silverware as pay-back time for Wanderers who sacked him.
