Carlsberg launches ‘My Country, My Carlsberg’ promo: To give away tickets for Malawi-Algeria match
Carlsberg Malawi has launched the ‘my country my Carlsberg’ promotionac, in selected outlets, in the Southern Region which promises to reward Carlsberg consumers with tickets foe a Malawi against Algeria Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers encounter on October 10 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The revelation of the launch was made by the brewery’s Brands Manager (alcoholic) Twikale Chirwa on Wednesday at Football Association of Malawi offices in Chiwembe.
Chirwa said the activation will take place in selected beer selling outlets in Southern Region on Wednesday’s and weekends.
The activation runs from 26 September to 9 October 2014.
“The Malawi national team is our national pride and national treasure and like the brand Carlsberg, an icon in Malawi. This is why as the official beer of the Malawi national team Carlsberg gives its consumer this opportunity, drawing Flames fans to the game,” said Chirwa.
Chirwa said as the official beer of the Malawi national team, Carlsberg takes its place together with Malawians, as a number one supporter and fan of the Flames.
“Through my country my Carlsberg we provide an opportunity for fans to get behind our national pride, and support the Flames in the upcoming Malawi vs Algeria game,” Twikale said.
Chirwa said that Carlsberg has partnered with Zodiak Broadcasting Service, who will broadcast the match ticket trade promotion live, to create awareness of the activations and where they are taking place.
“Carlsberg consumers enjoying stout also have an opportunity to win match tickets,” said Chirwa, adding that including stout consumers widens the opportunity for winning match tickets.
Carlsberg Malawi is the official sponsor of Malawi national team.

Dont say “the official beer for Malawi national football team” (have seen one such advert in Ntcheu), this means ma player azingokhalira kubibida carlsburg and fail to deliver on the pitch. Nanga si masponsors alipo! Better if you say “the official sponsor of the Malawi national football team” 2. Chi jersey chimene amavala pakali pano pa home sichabwino, its dull.
