Carlsberg Malawi raises prices on beverages after Frozzy ban
Consumers of non-alcoholic beverages made by Carlsberg Malawi Limited will have to pay more to have a sip following a price hike confirmed by the company.

The company has not given any reason for the hike of the beverages.
According to the new price structure, non-alcoholic beverages such as Fanta, Coca-Cola and Sprite will be selling at K250 per 300ml returnable glass bottle.
Cocopina and Cerryplum is now at K220.
Coca Cola in cans is now pegged at K400 and a 500ml bottle Sobo squash has been increased to K600 ( with a two-litre bottle now ayt K1, 700.
Consumer Assocition of Malawi (CAMA) boss John Kapito decribed the price hike as “unfair”.
Kapito attributed the price hike due to lack of competition since Frozzy drink from Mozambique was banned.
