M’buka CCAP Church fundraising chairman, Pope Mzumara was speaking in Lilongwe when he presided over the fundraising ceremony for the construction of the early children learning facility.

“Church remains a focal point, because it is always intouch with the people, People listen more to church than anything including Government or NGOs,” said Mzumara.

Mzumara said that it was under this background that the church decided to hold a food for cash in order to raise money for the purpose.

In his remarks, Sefren Khumula who is a site chair commended the members of the church for coming in their large number.

Khumula said the money realised at the ceremony will go a long way in kicking off the project.

“Well wishers can come and assist in cash or kind, some are builders they can volunteer to build we don’t have any problem, even cement companies can contact us at Mbuka for their support.”

Khumula said the church has already secured land and that the total amount of money needed is K10Million (USD14,000).

During the function, Mzumara donated K50,000 (USD68).
