Chakwera attends Transform Africa summit in Zimbabwe

President Lazarus Chakwera has arrived back from s day long Transform Africa summit which he attended on Wednesday in Zimbabwe.
Chakwera said during the summit, Africa should take advantage of technologies to create a single digital market that will benefit all states to grow economically.
The President said digitilisation offers Africa a shortcut to economic growth.
“Now, as to the question of how we take such a leapfrogging shortcut, the only way is for us to work hard on lifting the obstacles to digitilisation and to work together on connecting the whole continent digitally so that Africa becomes a single digital market.
“That is why I am excited to be here to represent Malawi as the newest member of the Smart Africa Alliance.
“And I am grateful to His Excellency President Kagame of Rwanda for his leadership in this pursuit, and I look forward to engaging in these matters with all my fellow heads of State who are gathered here,” he said.
Other leaders present at this function are Rwanda’s Paul Kagame who is chairperson for Smart Africa Alliance which has organised this sixth edition of the summit, President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, King Mswati of Eswatini and the host Emmerson Mnangagwa, who have all made their presentations.
