Jax, that also worries me. Whatever Chakwera says is a replica of what Chilima has already said. This is where I feel MCP has no substance. Chilima is making a big difference on the political scene to a point that whatever he proposes, DPP hastily implements it. A case in point is the proposed free secondary school education and increase of honoraria for chiefs. Malawi wants leadership with new ideas.
You are missing the point. What Chakwera is saying, is the same he has been talking over and over while Chilima was with DPP. For example, Chakwera and MCP brought a bill in Parliament to trim the powers of ACB, He has talked about the Quota system abolishment even during the 2014 election campaign. Chakwera has been talking of an end to farm subsidies. Surprisingly, all what I have listed above, are the same things Chilima has been saying. Most of the times am worried with Sidik Mia’s comments, i have never heard him speak of any constructive ideas that he will bring to transform Malawi. He always talks about Malawi that is full & tired of poverty but also he will make sure MCP makes the next government, after all these so what? What is is that he has to offer to us?
