Big Bullets F.C players on Wednesday started boycotting training and have since delivered a petition to the Executive Committee demanding the resignation of General Secretary Titha Mandiza and supporters committee members Mabvuto Chibambo and Bruce Tambwali, Nyasa Times has established.
The trio is being accused of playing a big role in the hiring of a company that manned the gates during last Saturday’s Blantyre derby involving Mighty Be Forward Wanderers but with a hidden agenda.
Only about K16 Million gross revenue was realised comparing to over K27 Million which was realised in the first round derby.
The players have since put their foot down that they will not resume training until the trio resigns.
Bullets Technical Director Billy Tewesa confirmed hearing the news but refused to give more details referring the matter to club General Secretary.
“I just heard about that but as of now I am not in a good position to give you information maybe you can ask the General Secretary,” said Tewesa.
According to information sourced, Bullets officials owe players a lot of money in game bonus and that they promised to pay part of the money from the derby earnings which the officials never did.
on her part Mandiza has wondered why she is being accused since she is not responsible tohandle money issues.
“I am just the Secretary and anything to do with money, its the treasurer who is supposed to comment”
“This is just football politics and I cannot be shaken,” said Mangiza.
Bullets are on course to defend the TNM Super League and remains unbeaten in the campaign.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
