Chawinga recently signed for Swedish second-tier league side Olle Karnvedinsik IF from third-tier league side Krokom/Dvarsatts where she won the Golden Boot Award after scoring 39 goals in 18 games.

She described her first season in Sweden as an eye opener.

“In terms of setup, they are miles ahead because they are very organised and they get a lot of help from government in terms of resources,” said Chawinga who was welcomed by his former team DD Sunshine on arrival at Kamuzu International Airport.

Chawinga also disclosed that she was very excited with the deal.

“I am very thankful to God because with him everything is possible and I will continue to work extra hard so that I can be spotted by one of the top European clubs,” said Chawinga who won the Golden Boot Award in the second-tier Swedish league with 39 goals from 18 matches.

The nimble-footed forward attended trials last week and made an instant impression and signed a two-year deal.
