Chipuwa snubs Silver Strikers move: ‘ I am a Nomad for life’

Chipuwa has been linked with a number of clubs last season, while money-bags the bankers remain long-term admirers.

The Flames international admits his ambition is to one day be named goalkeeper legend o following into the footsteps of other Nomads keepers like Simplex Nthara, Vales Kamzere, Philip Nyasulu, late Kenneth Kandulu and Boniface Maganga.

The Bankers have lined up a number of players, who they want to rope in during the first round break in order to straighten their squad.

For instance, they have ear marked Chipuwa, Yamikani Chester, John Lanjesi, John Banda from Dedza Young Soccer, Boston Kabango, Brighton Munthali, Ernest Tambe and Dalitso Mwase.

But Chipuwa has insisted that he is not thinking about leaving the Nomads.

“Wanderers was my first choice when I left Zomba United .Today I know it was the right decision for me. I am very happy at Wanderers. I play with big players and the most important thing is I want to win trophies and with this club, it is possible,” said Chipuwa.

Silver Strikers stand in general secretary Fred Kalonga confirmed that the bankers have lined up a number of players, including Chipuwa to beef up their squad.

“We just need three players from the list because our priority is goalkeeper, attacking midfielder and defender. In short let me just say we will cross the river when we get there,” said Kalonga.

The bankers had a bumpy first round, having lost six games, won the same of number of games and drawn once.

Reports indicate that they have given their coaches two game ultimatum or risk the chop.

However, Nyasa Times investigations can confirm that the bankers are contemplating of bringing in former Flames coach Young Chimodzi alongside Lovemore Fazil and Hellings Mwakasungula.
