Chiukepo completes loan move to Platinum Stars

Malawi national team striker Chiukepo Msowoya, who has been offloaded by South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions, Orlando Pirates has completed his move to join Platinum Stars.

Msowoya, who had fallen way down the pecking following the arrival of Benni McCarthy, was released with two others-Lucas Thwala and Patrick Malokase will be at Platinum Stars for the rest of the season.

Msowoya and Malokase have battled for game-time at the club while Thwala has just returned from a long lay-off.

The Malawian‘s situation was also worsened by injuries he picked up early in the season.

Platinum Stars signed a trio of players from Orlando Pirates on Tuesday and they checked in to the Royal Bafokeng Campus, signed on loan until the end of the season.

Msowoya‘s three-year contract at Pirates expires in June 2013.
