Civil Sporting seeks Zoya’s return

Civil Sporting, a club that finished fifth in the TNM Super League last season, is reportedly in serious talks with former Nyasa Big Bullets wing-back Emmanuel Zoya for a possible return to his previous club.

Civil Sporting in serious talks with Nyasa Big Bullets defender Emmanuel Zoya’s

Zoya was recently offloaded from Nyasa Big Bullets and he told a local television station last week that he will always cherish the good moments he had with the Bullets family. He also hinted that there were two clubs who were interested in his services but he did not mention them.

But on Sunday, Zoya told a local radio station that he was in serious talks with his former club, Civil Sporting Club, formerly Civo United Football Club.

“I am what I am today because of Civo. And when Civil Sporting Club talks to me, it is like a father talking to a son. I hope everything will go on well,” said Zoya.

Nyasa Times also understands that Civil Sporting Club is at an advanced stage in a quest to renew contract for experienced Blessings Tembo whose contract will be expiring very soon. Several clubs including Silver Strikers and Be Forward Wanderers are reportedly interested to sign the player.

An official from the club said Tembo has leadership skills on the field of play and he is one of the players that helped the team in their fight for top four. Unfortunately they finished fifth.
