Civo not ready to sale captain Zoya -Mtelera
Civo United General Secretary Rashid Mtelera says the club cannot afford to lose a player of Emmanuel Zoya’s calibre.
Mtelera said this amid rumours that their captain is being linked with a move to champions Big Bullets who recently showed interest in the player.
“Each and every team wouldn’t wish to lose its best players. As Civo we would love to have him,” said Mtelera.
But Mtelera said they cannot block the player if he may want to move but cannot be released “unwillingly”.
“We will do everything to be with him but if the said team follow all the necessary procedures, we can unwillingly release him” he said.
Zoya who is currently fighting for his return at the Malawi national team guided Civo to their first cup glory after over five years.
