Civo set to bounce back- Masanjala

After a series of disappointing results and performance, Civo United is hoping to put behind their recent woeful run of form, as they hope to turn their fortunes, when they take on fellow title aspirants Mighty Wanderers on Saturday 31 December, 2011 at Balaka stadium.

‘Sir’ Alex Masanjala has seen his side come from back to back defeats from Embangweni United and their local neighbours Silver Strikers.

But the Civo coach says that his side is end his team’s recent bad spell at Balaka Stadium.

Masanjala: We will fight on

“We have prepared very well to play this game, and hopefully we want to register a win in this game,” he said

Masanjala added that his side is playing for the first time in Balaka this season and he expressed his worries over the condition of the pitch.

“We haven’t played at Balaka stadium this season and this is our first game there, and I don’t know how is the condition of the pitch, but will all play on the same pitch, so we are not so worried,” he said.

Civo goes into this match standing sixth on the log table, level on points with Mighty Wanderers who are placed on fourth position. But a win for Civo could see the Lilongwe based outfit leapfrog the Blues on fourth position.
