Clerk of Parliament escapes death
Clerk of Malawi Parliament. Ms Matilda Katopola escaped death last Sunday in Blantyre, when her official vehicle was involved in an accident.
Katopola was driving her official vehicle a grey Toyota Prado MG 196 AD.
She was rushed to Mwaiwathu Private Hospital where she is currently being monitored by doctors and nurses at Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
“Surgeons at the hospital have worked hard to save her life. She was scheduled to go to Cure hospital for further tests,” a hospital source said.
The source said her condition was “critical but stable” that there is no “life-threatening” injury.
Details are still emerging on how the accident occurred.
