Macholowe: Dies

Macholowe’s UK based daughter a model, Malaika Macholowe paid tribute to her father on Facebook Friday evening.

“Rest in eternal peace father. Clive Macholowe. You weren’t always there but I know you would have gone to hell and back. Love you and will miss you,” she wrote.

Macholowe, who was convicted in 1997 for robbing Thyolo Branch National Bank and Blantyre District Education Office, died a God-fearing man.

He had reformed since his release from Prison.

Macholowe was released on August 18 after serving his time. He was briefly pardoned in 2004 during Bakili Muluzi’s reign, but was re-arrested when the late president Bingu wa Mutharika assumed office.
