Coach Mtawali says Malawi U-20 ready to demolish DRC

Malawi Under-20 national football team coach Ernest Mtawali said his charges had done enough to prepare for the crucial Confederation of African Football (Caf) Under-20 Youth Championship scheduled for Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Saturday.

Mtawali said the team had played a good number of strength testing matches including international games.

“We are confident that we will do well because we have played at least eight friendly games,” Mtawali said.

“We have played against Wanderers, Chikhwawa United, Surestream Football Academy. What we need is to score goals and avoid conceding goals so that we can have an advantage in the return leg in DRC in two weeks time.”

He is confident that his players are capable of delivering having been together.
