Coach ‘Nginde’ Mtetemera talks tough: Confident of Dwangwa survival

Dwangwa United coach McDonald ‘Nginde’ Mtetemera has expressed confidence that his charges would survive in the Malawi flagship league eight years after returning from lower league.

Mtetemera playing a bit of a psychological game off the pitch said his experience would help his charges to fight hard for their survival.

“I have the experience to handle the team to success. I have 15 years since I started coaching at MDC United, Escom United and Blackpool,” he said.

“This is a good team with good quality players hungry for success.”

But the former MITCO, MDC United and national team defender would have to wait longer for his word to come to pass as the team is yet to win from the first three games.

The team lost 1-0 in their league opening match to league leaders Blue Eagles at home and only managed two points of a possible six points.

They stopped giants Be Forward Wanderers in their tracks with an impressive one-all draw on Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium and another draw against rookies Max Bullets at the same venue 24 hours late.
