Thundulu communities, now guard your land with eagle eyes. Do not allow that to occur again. For the time being, get a very reputable lawyer to represent your interests and claim damages for the mining company’s failure to fulfill corporate social responsibility obligations and also to the damage done to the environment in absence of impact assessment environment report. The community was supposed to benefit through the provision of a modern hospital, modern primary school, modern secondary school, teachers houses as well as those for the health personnel, a recreation centre, telecentre, among other things. Looking at the period that… Read more »

No time frame then mining needs to wait too until the president think otherwise. Our leaders are so wicked, crooks, remember what happened at the uranium mining. Muthalika knows what he is doing thats why he is playing a delaying tacktics may be anadyaponso kenakake kangachepe. People of this area should rise up to stop those abuses, let him mine in thyolo.

There is no timeline or “time frame” for the action (from the President)?
Kalilani: tell APM to prioritize these requests from the citizenry.

These resources are non renewable; and once they are taken out that’s it. They are our only bargaining chip.

Mining or exploration? where is the department of mines? what are they doing about it ? Does the department make follow ups on the activities of such mining licencees to see what is going on on site? No wonder when concerned citizens want answers the department is… Read more »

And it is not only 11years,infact they started exploring as they’re claiming in the early 2000’s,till now we are not even benefitting from them.

They killed our natural species like hyenas, the bridges in a distracted manner unrepairable……schools, sports they can’t help at all.
They must cooperate or else pack and go.
