Crackdown on criminals: 5 arrested for robbery
Malawi Police in the capita, Lilongwe recently arrested five “most wanted” suspects who were allegedly terrorizing and robbing houses in Chinsapo using violence.
According to the Public Relations Officer Kingsley Dandaula, the five men’s files were opened as soon as a series of robbery cases from Chinsapo were reported though they proved tough to pin down.
“We were looking for these robbers and we are proud they are now arrested because they are connected to a number of robberies in Chinsapo. They robbed different homes using violence in of Chinsapo,” Dandaula said.
The five criminals have been identified as Wyson Roy, 17 years, of Njolomole village T/A Njolomole in Ntcheu district, Ackim Chinsi, 19 years, of Chimalanga village T/A kasakula in Ntchisi, Chester Chamwala, 17 years, of Magombo village T/A Nkanda in Mulanje, Felix Magombo, aged 17, of Chinsapo village T/A Malili in Lilongwe and Mustapha Osman, 17 years, also from Chinsapo village TA Malili in Lilongwe.
The above mentioned suspects will soon appear in court to face charges of robbery with violence, Police said.
