Citizen Alliance Vice Chair, Thokozani Mkawa, was speaking in Mangochi during national review conference on campaign against the killing people with albinism.

Mkawa said it is unfortunate that despite the campaign, people living with albinism as are still living in fear.

“We are asking the Malawi Police and all other duty bearers to do more in order to completely end this barbaric act of killing people with albinism,” said Mkawa.

During the conference various stakeholders and duty bearers spoke on the war on albino killings.

Mangochi CSO Network chairperson, Aggrey Mfune said there is need to register each and every person living with albinism.

“We have already started doing that here in Mangochi, we are registering all the albinos so that when one is missing we should be knowing that one is missing,” Said Mfune.

Mfune said the head count is the only way to know who is missing and that the CSOs have engaged the chiefs on the same.
