Dan Lu trending with L ozani Zanu  political music video

Dan Lufani, popularly known as Dan Lu has released a music video from his hit single ‘lozani zanu’.

Dan Lu: Lozani Zanu

The video was posted on YouTube and various media outlets earlier this week and it features President Prof. Peter Mutharika’s speech.

The music video is mainly focused on various development projects led by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) towards the battle to the coming 2019 tripartite elections.

In the song, singer challenged the opposition parties to showcase what they have done instead of bubbling.

Among other places, the video takes the viewers to different new development places like the National Bingu Stadium (BNS), the new Parliament Building and  Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST),

In an interview, Dan Lu said that it was high time Malawians move from bubbling and focus on the real developments that have substance and those that can bring about change to an average Malawian.

The video release comes out after critics warned the pop star that he may lose his popularity due to his active participation in politics as his fans are brunched from different political groupings.

However, the song continues to register high number of downloads on Malawi music sites.

  1. I downloaded it out of curiosity and deleted it soon after. It’s utterly disgusting.
Amazingly the artiste equates development to buildings. So he takes pictures of buildings and I’m wondering, where are the people? The impact on human welfare? Of what benefit to Malawians is a Parliament building where thieves gather to plot how to share our taxes? Of what benefit is a hotel which is half empty all the time and where wine is still sold in casks? Of what use is a modern stadium which we cannot even manage and has nails and broken glass on the running tracks?
The other thing is that he compares a party in government to the opposition, as if they used their own resources to build those structures? A meaningful comparison should be between the current DPP vs the MCP of Kamuzu. If we made that comparison, we would need 10 music videos to showcase MCP achievements including food security, a functioning public transport system, clean cities, Kamuzu Academy, Kamuzu Palace, capital hill, M1 road, lake shore road, BAT, David Whitehead, attracting Carlsberg breweries to Malawi, University of Malawi, Air Malawi (which used to actually have its own fleet), Kamuzu Central Hospital, Chayamba Building, Press Corporation, Malawi Savings Bank (which was destroyed by DPP after giving Mulli K2 billion which he failed to pay and APM forgave him). Indeed, even UDF can point at a number of achievements. But the point is, all these are our taxes, donor money or loans which we will pay. So the song is pointless!

  2. Malawians will continue wallowing in this chasm of poverty unless we change our mindset. Am usually baffled when the DPP top brass and dan lu claim they have done this …and that, to hoodwink people in the villages. we pay taxes for such developments and others were loans which every Malawian is still paying.

    1. little did I know this boy can go so low. This is the end of Dan Lu, I have lost the respect I had for this small minded boy.

      1. Mbalame iwe. Ukufuna Dan Lu aziganiza mene ukuganizira iwe??? Mphaka wachabechabe iwe. It’s Dan Lu’s decision to b DPP fan so u must take it. End of him ndiye kuti chani?? Ife tikuzikondabe nyimbo zake. May b it’s ur end or end for Ambwiyako

  3. WITH DUE RESPECT, PETER SHOULD ALSO POINT THE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS THAT HE HAS DELIVERED TO MALAWI.

BNS IS CREDITED TO PROF BINGU WA MUTHARIKA. SO TOO KARONGA CHITIPA ROAD, PRESIDENTIAL VILLAS, BICC, PRESIDENTIAL HOTEL, MUST, ETC.

    WHERE IS PETER DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS???????????????????????

    PLEASE SHOW ME!

  4. Ati anangokwatira ndi amayi aja nyimbo zonse zinabalalika………Bring Back SHupeeee timati timakavela pa TV yachimalawi yonse bhooo pano hmmmmm nde ndi izo mwayamba za Nkasazo shame Bro!!!

  5. This is what I would call poverty of ideas. The melody is great though but the message isn’t smart. If governing parties had to list the number of developmental projects under their belt then MCP will win with majority (. That’s shouldn’t the measure for governing politics parties but rather their ability to coherently craft a vision and their ability to implement. Their ability to uphold the law and human rights. Prosperity isn’t just about building infrastructure but rather building a nation where its people feel connected to their roots and are happy.

  6. Nsanje port,……………………………….Not operational
Bingu stadium.B……………………..of that size Not necessary for now, that is why the place is desolate already
BICC,…………………………………………No big business to patronise the five star hotel, instead it is the government paying heavily for its patronage and upkeep. Taking money from left hand to right hand –what sort of business is like that
Nkhata bay Road upgrade………………………….What change has it brought – I bet it is the same traffic
Community colleges ………………………………….Yet to see the results, producing graduates without supporting interpreneurship ….how different are they from TEVET/technical schools
What economic transformation these projects have they brought to Malawi apart from draining huge capital from the government? It simply shows that DPP has its priorities upside down. We cannot transform economically if farmers have their produce rotten or purchased at much lower price than invested, If we still allow the whole lake malawi and water from mulanje mountain drain freely into Indian ocean eni akefe ndikumasowa madzi ndi magetsi, If we are still depending on a hoe to feed the nation, if the road development is still focussing on upgrading existing roads when roads like lithipe via Thete road to Chimbiya are left unattended, Nyika road was supposed to be a priority than Nkhatabay road, Come to think of Usisya road When the majority of Malawians are living in substandard housing. Malata cement subsidy has insignificant results because it is a poor policy – another cashgate. DPP HAS POOR PRIORITIES. If Dpp continues to be in power, this country will be in tatars by 2030.

  7. Kudana ndi chilungamo bwanji? Kkkkkk!! Wina nde ali busy kumaika ma -ve. Vote down vote down. He is showing developments that have been accomplished kapena ku u don’t know kuti in Malawi we have Bingu stadium, MUST, New highways, new community colleges, etc. Anyamata ang’ona nyimboyi yawabowa kooooooooooophya cuz ikuaiwa kuti pano ali yense yamufikila. Anyway, tell me how he will lose his fame

    1. CHOKA IWE, MUST BICC, BNS ETC WERE ALL BUILT BY BINGU NOT THIS MATHANYULA GUY! KULUBWALUBWA BWANJI!

DO YOU WANT TO STEAL PROJECTS FROM BINGU BECAUSE HE IS DEAD. TELL PETER MUTHARIKA ALOZE ZAKE NAYENSO!

      1. Kodi abale Bingu anali wa congress? Iyetu akuchita praise DPP ndi banja la MUTHARIKA, that means Bingu is included. Tangolozani zanu anamachende inu.

  8. I applaud Dan Lu for exercising his right of speech. The song is actually very well composed, I wish it was to do with something else rather than politics, and the ladies dancing Shaku Shaku were on an extra gear. Bravo

  9. Is DAN LU serious?akufuna opoosition ILOZE ZOMWE YACHITA NGATI A MALAWI ANAIPATSA MPHAMVU ZOTI IGWIRITSE NTCHITO NDALAMA ZA MSONKHO?

    1. It just shows how pathetic and shallow minded many Malawians are, the little development he’s bragging about is the money that all of us including the opposition contributed. And where he shows his stupidity is the fact that the president and almost all the dpp gurus don’t pay tax but us the ordinary people and the opposition pays to build those, what a headless chicken!

  10. Opportunist. Useless boy. Headless chicken. Not surprised at all. This is the best he can give his fans. Shupit
